100% UV protection for your children's eyes

Since children have larger pupils compared to adults, their highly sensitive retinal cells are more exposed to UV light. Without specially fitted sunglasses (often just 'smaller' versions of adult sunglasses) for children, there could be serious damage to tissue and skin of the cells of the human eye.

How well do the sunglasses protect?

Sunglass lenses are divided into four categories:

• CAT 0 - Very limited protection against sun glare.
• CAT 1 - Limited protection against sun glare.
• CAT 2 - Good protection against sun glare.
• CAT 3 - HIGH PROTECTION AGAINST SUN GLARE.
• CAT 4 - Very high protection against extreme sun glare, e.g. (at sea, high mountains, desert)

The startup SooNice has chosen category 3 glasses because they are perfect for children's eyes.

Thanks to the protective shields on the side, no UV rays (which are often reflected by water or snow) from the side will hit your child's eyes.

Made for kids:

These sunglasses are made from ECONYL nylon waste plastic, are extremely light and can be bent to a certain extent so that the glasses do not break easily. However, since most glasses break at the hinges, the Austrian start-up, together with its production partner in Italy, has developed click-on hinges so that the temples can simply be clicked back in if they break. The full-length glasses are also impressive when it comes to the quality of the lenses, with fairly scratch-resistant lenses that are designed for every adventure, whether on a sandy beach or a mountain hike.

ECONYL®, regenerated nylon

It was important to the founding team of SooNice not to put any new plastic into circulation in order to leave our children a better world. For this reason, their sunglasses are made of ECONYL nylon, which is 100% made from nylon waste and can be regenerated indefinitely.
